Sean CarneyTRAVEL ADVISOR

A conversation first. Then a plan you can react to.

You don’t need a finished itinerary to start. Tell me roughly when, where, and what you hope the trip will do for you. We can talk by phone, video or text. Prefer to call or text? Reach Rachel, my receptionist, at +1 (310) 907-5730. She handles questions, messages and appointment booking.

01

We talk it through

I’ll ask about what matters, who’s traveling, your budget, and any practical details that could shape the trip.

02

I research and arrange

I look into the options, check the details we’ve discussed, and bring you a plan to consider. You make the decisions; I handle the bookings and logistics we agree on.

Before you go, you’ll get your travel sheet: one page with your medications, your doctor and insurance contacts, and the nearest hospital at each stop.

03

I stay in touch

I don’t disappear after you book. If something goes sideways in Lisbon, you call me, not a hold queue. And when you’re home, I’ll ask what worked and what didn’t, so the next trip is even better.

The practical details

On a cruise, that means the ship, the cabin’s location, how boarding works, which ports use tenders, and getting to and from the pier. On a land trip, it’s the route between stops, hotels with lifts, how much walking each day really involves, and transfers you can count on.

How I’m paid

Hotels and cruise lines pay me a commission when I book with them, so there’s no planning fee. I work for you, not them. My business depends on you booking with me again and telling your friends, so the only recommendation worth making is the right one for your trip.

I can’t promise every ship, hotel or destination will work for every person. I can help you ask the right questions and check the details with the people who know the specific property or sailing. And if something isn’t right for you, I’ll tell you.

Questions people ask

Do I need a disability to work with you?

No. Many people simply want an easier, more comfortable trip, or are planning for someone who’s slowed down a bit.

Can I plan a trip for my parent?

Yes. Many trips like these are planned by an adult child for a parent. We can talk together or separately, whatever works for your family.

Do you only plan cruises?

No. Cruises are often the easiest way to travel comfortably, so I plan a lot of them, but I also plan land trips, family reunions and longer journeys.

Is there a fee?

No planning fee. I’m paid by commission from the hotels and cruise lines I book.

Do you only work with people in Los Angeles?

No. I’m based in LA, but we can talk by phone, video or text wherever you are.

Can you tell me if a trip is medically safe for me?

No, that’s a question for your doctor. I can help you prepare the right questions and make sure the answers shape the plan.
